Skrabz is shown delivering the Mic Check to Candi Bratton, followed by Candi Bratton raising the Mile High Wrestling Championship in the air, as the video fades away, and the cameras are in the arena where fireworks are exploding. The instrumental to “Colorado” plays through the sound system, as the camera pans around the Denver crowd.
Ray Hudson: Welcome everyone to the FIFTH episode of Mile High Wrestling!!!
Wavy Crockett: Fif! Fif! Fif!
We see many signs in the crowd, such as “The Titaness Is The Face Of Mile High”, “The Shieldmaidens”, “Skrabz Came To Bring The Fire”, and “Emily Falls Is My Hero”.
Ray Hudson: Each night just gets better than the last, so we already know what to expect on this sure to be amazing night!!!
“Diamond Teeth Samurai” by YoungBoy Never Broke Again begins blaring across the arena, as the lights flicker gold and silver.
Ray Hudson: Who do we have here?
Wavy Crockett: YoungBoy Never Broke Again. Gotta be!
Robert and Katrina Mack step out from behind the curtains, holding hands.
Wavy Crockett: Damn, Rob got some good taste in music!
Ray Hudson: There’s our bosses; the Owner and the General Manager!
The Owner and General Manager both walk down the rampway to their ring.
Ray Hudson: We know that Katrina Mack will be announcing the eight participants in the Phoenix Championship Tournament!
Robert holds the bottom rope down, and middle rope up, so Katrina can get into the ring easier.
Wavy Crockett: See I wouldn’t be doing that shit…
Ray Hudson: You know you would do that for your wife…
Wavy Crockett: Not if she slapped me two weeks ago…
Robert stands in the middle of the ring, as Katrina asks for a mic. Byron Brown hands her one, from the outside.
Ray Hudson: We got some other people already standing in the ring. Who are these people?
Wavy Crockett: Must be six of the Phoenix Tournament participants.
Two women, and four men, stand in the ring already. The music fades away as Katrina puts the mic to her mouth.
Ray Hudson: I doubt that, Wavy…
Katrina Mack: What is up, Denver?!!!
The fans cheer loudly, as the camera pans around the arena to show their excited faces.
Katrina Mack: I love my job…
The camera focuses back in on Katrina and Robert.
Katrina Mack: So The Rise In Phoenix is exactly four weeks away and I smell an epic event…
Katrina and Robert nod at each other.
Katrina Mack: Our main event will see “Tattle Tail” Candi Bratton defend her Mile High Wrestling Championship to Skrabz. And after tonight, it might very well be a Trip…
Robert quickly places his hand on top of Katrina’s microphone and gently presses it away from her mouth.
Ray Hudson: I think she was going to say a Triple Threat Match.
Wavy Crockett: But Rob ain’t having that shit!
Robert and Katrina are discussing something serious, and we can assume easily what that is.
Wavy Crockett: You don’t just award someone because the are a sore loser, Ray. Sam gots to go to the back of the line.
Ray Hudson: Eh.
Katrina Mack: The very first Mile High Wrestling Tag Team Champions will be crowned at The Rise also. The Shieldmaidens have been the only group to step up and announce their desire for the belts recently. But we assure you that The Shieldmaidens WILL have some competition.
Katrina turns to the two women and four men behind her, then looks back into the camera.
Katrina Mack: We will talk about that competition in just a minute.
Katrina smiles, and winks into the camera.
Katrina Mack: But first, lets talk about how the very first Mile High Wrestling Phoenix Champion will be crowned.
The fans cheer for the news they’ve been waiting for.
Katrina Mack: Eight superstars will fight in a single elimination tournament, beginning next week, and it will culminate at The Rise In Phoenix.
Katrina looks around the arena with a huge grin.
Katrina Mack: And those eight superstars will be…
Katrina bites her bottom lip, excited just like the fans.
Ray Hudson: I’m excited too!!!
Katrina Mack: The star of SE Network’s hit TV show, Silver Lake…. our very own Ripley!!!
The fans cheer, and Katrina holds up one finger for her next announcement.
Katrina Mack: One member of The Shieldmaidens, that will be chosen BY The Shieldmaidens!
The fans cheer for The Shieldmaidens.
Ray Hudson: Interesting…
Katrina Mack: She was impressive last week, and I’m sure she will be tonight; “The Adorkable Angel” Azurine Vebbins!
The fans start chanting, “She’s a filly”, as Katrina looks around confused.
Katrina Mack: Alright… and it just very well may be a party in Phoenix, because “The Party Boy” Chris Mosh is in the tournament!
The fans cheer.
Wavy Crockett: We know he won’t get past Round One…
Katrina Mack: And even with the rumors circulating about Mile High Wrestling and this man, I can confirm he will be here tonight, and he will be in the Phoenix Tournament; “Next Generation” Luke Corvo!
There’s a mixed reaction for Corvo.
Katrina Mack: One of the most exciting superstars on the roster…. “Desert Rose” Anya!!
The fans cheer.
Katrina Mack: He has a fight on his hands later tonight, but he may very well have a championship IN his hands come The Rise; “The Master” Issac Combes!!
The fans boo loudly for The Master.
Katrina Mack: And as for the eighth competitor…
The roar of a motorcycle engine reverberates through the sound system while two spotlights situated on the stage glare straight ahead in the otherwise-dark arena like two giant headlights. As the grinding guitars and overpowering drums of Metallica’s “Hardwired” start up, a tall figure steps out onto the stage, little more than a living shadow between the bright lights. He strides out to the ramp, the lights going up at this point to show Trenton “Forge” Mitchell standing at the apex. Slamming his taped right fist into his left palm, he pops his neck to one side, then the other, before heading down to the ring, the encroaching hands of the fans all but ignored.
Ray Hudson: Is it Forge?
Wavy Crockett: It better be. My dude is solid!
Pulling himself onto the apron via the middle rope, Forge turns to look out at the masses peppered with several swooning ladies, then steps fully into the ring. Ascending the turnbuckles, the tattooed powerhouse slides off his cut and holds it high in the air, gripped tightly in his fist… a show of pride toward his club. Dropping back down, he hands it to the attendant with a stern warning to take damn good care of it. The music fades, as Robert and Katrina look at him, confused.
Ray Hudson: By the look on Robert and Katrina’s faces, I don’t think it’s Forge…
Wavy Crockett: Naw, they just ain’t expect him to come out. It’s Forge…
Forge walks up to one of the six other people who have been standing in the ring, and out of nowhere he delivers a nasty headbutt.
Ray Hudson: What the hell?!!
Wavy Crockett: Damn!
Forge grabs another and throws him out of the ring. The two ladies have run out of the ring, and up the ramp.
Wavy Crockett: Them bitches getting the hell out of there!
Forge grabs another person by their head, as they try to escape. Forge throws a hard right, knocking them on their bottom.
Wavy Crockett: Forge always fucking some shit up! I love it!
Forge then gets on top of the guy and starts laying into him, ultimately busting his face wide open.
Wavy Crockett: And making people bleed!
Ray Hudson: He does that…
Just then, the camera moves to the stage area, where one of the two women are already down, and RJ Mitchell is throwing rights and lefts at the other one.
Ray Hudson: And there’s his wife!!! Robi Jean Mitchell has arrived, too!!!
As the woman wobbles standing up, RJ steps back, before throwing Thor’s Hammer right into her face.
Ray Hudson: Thor’s Hammer!!!
Forge is shown smiling in the ring, while Robert and Katrina look between both superstars, with their jaws dropped, confused on what is going on.
Ray Hudson: The question is; what the hell is going on here?
The camera shows the last woman that RJ took out is bleeding from the nose.
Wavy Crockett: Mrs. Mitchell be busting up too!!
Robert Mack: What the hell is the meaning of this?!
The camera is back in the ring, where Robert now has Katrina’s mic. Forge snatches the mic out of Robert’s hand, as the fans make the “ooooo” sound.
Ray Hudson: Whoa….
Forge: All these announcements that you are excited to make for The Rise In Phoenix. What do you got for me? Because the Pretty Boy hasn’t said anything in a while…..but your champion has. And if she doesn’t watch her mouth…
Robert snatches his mic back.
Wavy Crockett: Oh shit…
Robert Mack: These folks that you just assaulted… were the other teams for the Tag Team Championship Tournament.
Ray Hudson: Well, there’s one question answered…
RJ is now in the ring, and both her and Forge start laughing. RJ has a mic of her own, and puts it to her mouth.
Robi Mitchell: I assure you those teams weren’t going to stand a chance. To be honest, that’s a waste of payroll…
RJ hands the mic over to Forge.
Forge: Find something better for The Shieldmaidens…
Forge turns and looks deep into the camera.
Forge: And as for everything else… everyone needs to learn who really runs things around here. It sure as hell ain’t Grandma Bratton. It damn sure ain’t no Pretty Boy….who runs away before I can fuck his face up.
Forge looks deeper into the camera.
Forge: Ricky, you and your entitled bitch talk a good game. Well….mainly you. SHE….has been too scared to say a word…
Forge looks back at RJ, who is smirking, then looks back into the camera.
Forge: No more running. I want the Mile High Wrestling Championship. And that belt is occupied for The Rise In Phoenix. So the next best thing would be breaking your ego in half, Ricky. So how about you talk to the man standing behind me, get a contract written up for an unsanctioned match, and meet Robi and I in Phoenix, Arizona. You and your little girl wrestler. And we’ll take your heads OFF!!!
Forge drops the mic, and tells Robert and Katrina to get a ref out here for their match.
Ray Hudson: Hard words by Mr. Forge!!!
Wavy Crockett: My dude!!
Robert laughs, and looks at Katrina, who is still shocked, as she looks around at all the bodies.
Ray Hudson: Well, Forge and Robi do have a match scheduled, but we need to take a commercial break. So we’ll be right back!
We fade into a commercial break.
We are back from commercial break, and Forge and Robi Mitchell are still waiting in the ring for their opponents.
Ray Hudson: Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen. And it’s finally time for Forge and Robi’s tag team match!
Tag Team Match
Forge and RJ Mitchell
“Next Generation” Luke Corvo and Emily Falls
The titantron flickers on as the first ambient chords from “Rockstar” by Post Malone ft. 21 Savage play throughout the arena. The crowd moves to their feet to love or hate the man to step through the curtain. “Next Generation” Luke Corvo pauses then walks directly towards the ring leaping onto the apron turning to face the crowd.
Wavy Crockett: Another victim!
Byron Brown: The opening contest is a tag team match for one fall! In the ring already… residing in New Orleans, Louisiana….. weighing in at a combined weight of 393 pounds……. Trenton “Forge” Mitchell and Robi Jean Mitchell!!!
Ray Hudson: Well, a lot of speculation this last week on whether Luke Corvo was even going to be here tonight. Rumors assisted that Luke Corvo was done with the company. It’s good to see him here, tonight…
As the music continues playing, Luke leaps over the top rope and makes his way up the turnbuckle taunting the crowd to get louder before he removes his ring jacket and music fades.
Wavy Crockett: I ain’t glad to see him. I’ll be glad when Forge busts his mouth open, though.
Byron Brown: And their opponents… introducing first… in the ring now… from Detroit, Michigan….. weighing in at 185 pounds……. “Next Generation” Luke Corvo!!!
“Friday” by Rebecca Black begins playing throughout the arena, as Emily Falls steps out from behind the curtain.
Byron Brown: And his tag team partner… from Denver, Colorado….. weighing in at 120 pounds……. Emily Falls!!!
Emily skips down the ramp, and then skips around the ring, for a bit.
Wavy Crockett: The most annoying wrestler in history!
Emily rolls into the ring and attempts to give Corvo a high five, and he just looks away shaking his head.
DING DING DING
Our newest referee John Vigil has called for the start of the match, and we are starting off with Forge and Corvo.
Ray Hudson: Here we go! Starting with Forge and Luke Corvo!
Both men get face to face, and Forge lays Corvo out with a right hand.
Wavy Crockett: If Luke thought that The Master was rough last week….
Corvo checks his face for any blood, but so far he is good.
Wavy Crockett: He might as well have stayed home!
Corvo shakes it off and gets to his feet. But as soon as he does, Forge comes out of nowhere with a leaping shoulderblock, forcing Corvo to hit the mat and roll right out of the ring, flying to the concrete floor.
Ray Hudson: We all know Forge is a hard hitter. That’s for sure!
Corvo slams his fist against the mat, and shakes it off again.
Wavy Crockett: Look he fittin to quit!
As soon as Corvo gets to his feet, Forge is already outside of the ring, and connects a belly to belly suplex to the Next Generation.
Ray Hudson: Belly to belly suplex in the concrete floor!!
All of a sudden, Emily Falls jumps from the apron onto Forge’s back, and starts choking him.
Wavy Crockett: Oh Naw! She trippin!
Ray Hudson: Maybe Emily has a death wish….
Forge tries to shake her off, as she holds on tight. RJ looks to be on the floor, and heading around the ring.
Wavy Crockett: Here comes his wife!
Forge throws Emily over his shoulders, flinging her onto the commentary table, as she slides right off into the laps of Ray Hudson and Wavy Crockett, knocking them out of their seats.
Ray Hudson: Shi!!
Wavy Crockett: Dam!!
RJ shakes her head and heads back to her corner, as Forge grabs Corvo and tosses him back into the ring. As Forge slides into the ring, Corvo comes out of nowhere with a basement dropkick. Forge gets back to his feet, shaking it off, and Corvo hits him with a spinning heel kick that makes him stumble backwards into the ropes. Forge shakes it off and steps back towards Corvo, who gives him the Hammerlock DDT.
Ray Hudson: We apologize! That knocked us off our game….literally.
Corvo goes for the pin.
Wavy Crockett: Kickout!
Ray Hudson: Forge threw Emily Falls right into us.
Corvo quickly gets up with no hesitation, and gets Forge to his feet. Corvo delivers the Hammerlock Flatliner to Forge, and goes for another pin.
Ray Hudson: Corvo trying to wear the big man out!
Corvo sits down and catches his breath, thinking on his next move.
Wavy Crockett: This just Corvo’s final moments, before that boy rest in peace.
Corvo gets Forge to his feet and sets him up for the Styles Clash.
Ray Hudson: Corvo going for the Styles Clash…
Corvo connects the Styles Clash, but instead of going for a pin, he looks over at the corner of the ring.
Ray Hudson: Styles Clash!
Wavy Crockett: I wanted to say he dumb for not going for the pin, but I’m sure Forge would kick out again anyways.
Corvo gets to his feet, goes to the corner and climbs to the top rope.
Ray Hudson: Luke Corvo going to the top!
Out of nowhere, Emily Falls hops back onto the apron and slaps Corvo’s leg, tagging herself in. The fans cheer, as Emily Falls gets into the ring and pins Forge.
Wavy Crockett: What the hell, man?!
Forge pushes Emily off of him with force, as she goes flying across the ring into sitting position, in the corner.
Wavy Crockett: That girl stay trippin!
Forge slowly gets back to his feet, and he and Emily both get to standing position at the same time.
Ray Hudson: Emily Falls back at it…
Emily runs at Forge who sends a lunging headbutt into her face.
Wavy Crockett: Oooo fuck!!!
Ray Hudson: My oh my…that can’t be good…
RJ is begging for the tag, so Forge walks over to her and gives his wife what she wants.
Ray Hudson: Forge giving his wife the tag.
Emily Falls is now bleeding from her upper lip. It’s a sight to behold…
Ray Hudson: This is very uncomfortable, folks…
RJ smiles and gets Emily to her feet. Out of nowhere, Emily gets super angry, letting out a loud scream before throwing hard rights and lefts into RJ’s face.
Wavy Crockett: Oh snap! The crazy coming out!
Ray Hudson: Emily throwing rights and lefts like a machine gun!!
RJ blocks as many as she can, as Emily just keeps screaming and throwing punches, with blood pouring down the bottom half of her face.
Wavy Crockett: This is crazy awesome…
As Emily continues to throw hands, RJ turns her back, and connects with Freyja’s Kiss, knocking Emily down to the mat.
Ray Hudson: Freyja’s Kiss!!
RJ shakes off Emily’s attack, and goes toward Emily, who surprisingly finds the energy to reach up and pull RJ into a small package.
Ray Hudson: Wait! Wait!
Wavy Crockett: Kickout!!
Both superstars get to their feet, RJ shocked as hell. RJ steps towards Emily who hits her with the Emily Fall!!!
Ray Hudson: Emily Fall!!!
Wavy Crockett: No way…
Emily goes for the pin.
Wavy Crockett: No surprise! You can’t beat the best, Ray!
Emily lays on the mat, bloody faced and lost.
Ray Hudson: Emily Falls is not looking good…
Both Emily and RJ start getting to their feet, as the fans are all on their’s.
Ray Hudson: But at the same time, she’s really holding her own…
Emily starts crawling to Luke Corvo.
Ray Hudson: Emily doing the smart thing…
As Emily reaches her hand out, Corvo hops down from the ring apron.
Ray Hudson: Wait a damn minute!!!
Wavy Crockett: Damn….
The fans are booing super loud as Corvo looks around the arena, then back at a deeply hurt Emily Falls.
Wavy Crockett: That’s cold…
Corvo shakes his head and walks away.
Ray Hudson: You came back to walk out on you partner?!
Emily actually starts crying, which is an awkward scene to say the least.
Wavy Crockett: Man…
Emily gets to her feet and turns around, as RJ comes flying at her with Maiden’s Mercy.
Ray Hudson: That would be the Maiden’s Mercy..
Wavy Crockett: No mercy shown…
RJ goes for the pin.
Wavy Crockett: Its over…
DING DING DING
The ref has called for the bell, as Forge gets into the ring.
Byron Brown: And the winners of this match… the team of Forge and Robi Mitchell!!!
Forge brings RJ to her feet, as he kisses her on the side of the face, before raising her arm in the air.
Ray Hudson: Luke Corvo is the world’s biggest asshole. Nonetheless, Forge and Robi made their statement.
Wavy Crockett: We hope you saw it, Ricky!!
We fade into another commercial break.
We return from commercial break, where Katrina Mack is seen talking to her guest, and friend, Lavinia backstage.
Katrina Mack: I am so glad you’re here tonight, girl. It’s going to be an exciting night!
Lavinia: For sure. I was hoping to see my man in action tonight, but oh well.
Katrina Mack: Yeah, I believe Rob gave him the week off, so he could focus on his Quag Cup match this week. Which he did an amazing job with!
Katrina holds her hand up for a high five, and Lavinia connects, smiling.
Lavinia: Yeah, I love him. Speaking of which, is Rob still looking for a new Co-GM?
Katrina thinks for a minute.
Katrina Mack: You know…he really hasn’t spoke about it anymore, for a while now. Which works for me, because obviously I’m doing fine with the job by myself.
Lavinia nods, while thinking.
Lavinia: I agree. BUT what if Robert went with the original idea, and chose Deuce for the role?
Katrina raises her eyebrow, unsure about the idea.
Lavinia: Deuce is obviously an amazing edition to the Mile High Wrestling roster. But my man knows a lot about this business. And he has a lot of connections.
Katrina listens as Lavinia talks.
Lavinia: He is very popular around the indy community. Mile High Wrestling is doing well, for sure. But with Deuce in such an executive role? I think he could help take Mile High Wrestling to even bigger and better things.
Lavinia smiles at Katrina, very confident in her proposal.
Lavinia: And while you are doing a great job, you’ve already told me you are new to this wrestling world. Deuce can really help teach you a lot…
Katrina nods, really considering everything Lavinia is saying.
Katrina Mack: Well, I guess I can talk to Rob; see what he thinks…
Lavinia: You should. I think it would be an amazing adjustment. A very smart business move.
Katrina Mack: I’ll talk to him. But in the meantime, let’s enjoy some Mile High Wrestling!
Smiling, Katrina picks up the remote to her office TV, turning the volume up, as the cameras return to the arena.
Ray Hudson: And us, welcome back to Mile High Wrestling, everyone!
“The Adorkable Angel” Azurine Vebbins
Jackie “Bandit” Layton
“Problem” by Postmodern Jukebox starts playing throughout the arena, as the lights die down. A solitary spotlight shines down on the stage area, where “The Adorkable Angel” Azurine Vebbins steps out into, wearing her brand new Dat Azz T-Shirt.
Byron Brown: The following match is for one fall! Introducing first… weighing in at 115 pounds….. residing in Malibu, California……. “The Adorkable Angel” Azurine Vebbins!!!
The spotlight follows Azurine from the entrance ramp to the northern-facing ring apron. Along the way, Ms. Vebbins pirouettes, skanks, and twirls like a whirling dervish down to the ring. The fans chant “Where’s Your Leash?” very loudly. Unabashed, she keeps dancing until getting onto the northern ringside apron and climbing through the middle and bottom ring ropes.
Ray Hudson: So did you hear Azurine’s response to your twerking question, Mr. Wavy?
Wavy Crockett: Yeah, I ain’t trippin. I’ma get that number. Can’t no woman handle “dat azz” the way a black man can…
Upon entering the ring, she awaits her opponent.
Ray Hudson: She does have a nice ass…
Wavy Crockett: Damn, Ray! Listen at you…
Ray Hudson: Ay..
With the lights dimmed, the Shieldmaidens’ motto, “Hell is empty and the Maidens are here!” comes up on the Tron. The Real McKenzies’ “Pour Decisions” starts with its pounding drumming. As the song swings into the main riff, Jackie “Bandit” Layton comes almost skipping out. Alex “Bullet” Carbajal, Ophelia “Widow” Blaque and Fianna Donnelly all follow out behind her. They escort her to the ring, Bandit bouncing and skipping along as if she has not a care in the world.
Byron Brown: And her opponent… being accompanied to the ring by fellow Shieldmaidens; Bullet, Widow, and Fianna Donnelly… weighing in at 120 pounds….. from New Orleans, Louisiana……. Jackie “Bandit” Layton!!!!
Bandit slips into the ring and pops up onto the second turnbuckle, raising her hands in the air, welcoming the reaction from the crowd.
DING DING DING
Ray Hudson: And here we go!
Referee Jack Glascock has called for the match to start, and Bandit runs at Azurine wth a flying heel kick.
Wavy Crockett: Even Jack was looking at that ass!
Bandit quickly goes out onto the apron.
Ray Hudson: Let’s focus on the match now, Wavy…
Azurine gets to her feet, and Bandit jumps onto the top rope and flies at Azurine, right into a standing dropkick.
Wavy Crockett: How can you, with an ass like that?
Ray Hudson: Azurine Vebbins takes Bandit down with a dropkick.
As Bandit gets to all fours, Azurine hits her with a knee strike to the ribs.
Ray Hudson: Azurine staying on top of her.
Wavy Crockett: I wanna be on top of Azurine..
Ray Hudson: Man, chill.
Azurine gets down to the mat and hooks Bandit in a headlock. The ref checks on Bandit.
Ray Hudson: Headlock on Ms. Bandit.
Bandit starts getting to her feet while in the headlock. She starts throwing punches into Azurine’s side until Azurine releases the hold.
Wavy Crockett: You know it’s a shame both these women dyking huh?
Bandit runs backwards into the ropes, bouncing back right into an elbow smash to the head by Azurine.
Ray Hudson: Azurine in control of this match.
Azurine hooks Bandit into the Boston crab. The ref checks on Bandit.
Ray Hudson: Trying to end it early with a submission.
Bandit gets to her back, bringing her knees in, forcing Azurine to come close enough to get caught with a couple of punches that make her let go.
Ray Hudson: Bandit getting out of the hold!
Bandit gets to her feet, and Azurine runs at her. Bandit throws Azurine over her shoulders, and Azurine lands on her feet on the ring apron.
Wavy Crockett: That’s a fly ass. Get it?
Ray Hudson: What…?
Bandit goes to throw a punch, but Azurine thrust her forearm forward before Bandit connects.
Ray Hudson: Azurine really keeping momentum!
Azurine grabs the back of Bandit’s head with both hands and jumps off the apron, bringing Bandit down into the top rope, chest first.
Ray Hudson: That look like it hurt!
Azurine slides back into the ring.
Wavy Crockett: Probably cause it did, Ray.
Azurine gets Bandit to her feet, and gives her a release German suplex, sending her right back down to the mat.
Ray Hudson: German to Bandit!
Azurine goes for the pin.
Ray Hudson: Is this all?
Ray Hudson: Kickout!
Azurine gets to a knee, looking down at Bandit.
Wavy Crockett: Not enough, baby…
Azurine gets to her feet, bringing Bandit to her’s. Azurine Irish whips Bandit towards the ropes. As Bandit bounces back, Azurine runs at her with a clothesline that Bandit ducks under.
Ray Hudson: She ducks a clothesline!
Azurine turns around and gets clotheslined out of the ring, to the concrete floor.
Wavy Crockett: Oooo, she in front of us, Ray!!
Ray Hudson: You’re starting to sound like a creep.
On the other side of the ring, Fianna Donnelly gets onto the ring apron, as the ref turns to her, questioning what she is doing.
Ray Hudson: Hold on a second…
Ophelia and Bullet start stomping away at Azurine, while the referee is distracted by Fianna.
Ray Hudson: This is uncalled for!
Ophelia gets Azurine to her feet, and places her head in between Bullet’s legs. Bullet, with assistance from Ophelia, gives Azurine a powerful powerbomb onto the concrete floor.
Wavy Crockett: That’s what she get tryna play mind games with me.
Ophelia gets Azurine back into the ring, as Fianna jumps down from the ring apron.
Ray Hudson: This is bullshit!
Bandit gets Azurine to her feet, as the referee comes back to the action.
Wavy Crockett: Jack’s so fucking stupid….
Bandit gives Azurine a One-Armed Bandit.
Ray Hudson: One-Armed Bandit…
The fans are booing, at this point.
Ray Hudson: The fans are not happy…
Bandit goes to the top rope, as the fans stand to see better what is about to happen.
Wavy Crockett: The fans ain’t shit, Ray.
Bandit jumps off with a picture perfect Snowbird Splash, and pins Azurine.
Ray Hudson: This could be it!
DING DING DING
The other three members of The Shieldmaidens get into the ring.
Byron Brown: And the winner of this match… Jackie “Bandit” Layton!!!
The four Shieldmaidens celebrate Bandit’s singles victory, as the camera shows Samantha “The Titaness” Hamilton running down the ramp, causing the fans to jump out of their seats with excitement.
Ray Hudson: Oh shit!
The Titaness slides into the ring as Ophelia quickly gets into her face, ready to throw down.
Wavy Crockett: It’s about to go down!
Ray Hudson: If you don’t know, Azurine Vebbins and The Titaness are good friends. Ms. Hamilton is not happy about how The Shieldmaidens conducted business here…
The other Shieldmaidens pull Ophelia away, as Sam stands in place, not scared at all.
Wavy Crockett: Let em fight!
The other Shieldmaidens tell Ophelia something, before they all exit the ring, as Sam looks on for a moment longer, before going to check on her friend.
Wavy Crockett: Well damn…
The Shieldmaidens walk backwards up the ramp, laughing at what they did, not worried at all about Sam’s presence.
Ray Hudson: Bunch of bullies!
Wavy Crockett: Shit, Samantha is lucky they left.
Sam, on one knee, with her hand on Azurine’s shoulder, turns and looks at The Shieldmaidens with fire in her eyes, as we go to a commercial break.
We are back from our commercial break as lights showcase the hanging Steel Cage, while dramatic music plays.
Steel Cage Match
“Tattle Tail” Candi Bratton
“The Master” Issac Combes
Ray Hudson: Welcome back, folks! And it is time!!
“Tattle Tail” Candi Bratton suddenly bursts from the back and heads to the ring, without any music or fanfare. She’s not even wearing her championship belt. She’s dressed as she typically is, except tonight her t-shirt proclaims The Master’s future state as “DEAD MEAT”.
Wavy Crockett: Man, Candi ain’t playing. She fittin to get The Master got!
Byron Brown: Umm…the following match is a Steel Cage Match for one fall. The only ways to win are by pinfall, submission, or escaping the cage with both feet touching the floor! Introducing first… weighing in at 250 pounds….. from Boville, Idaho……. she is the Mile High Wrestling Champion… “Tattle Tail” Candi Bratton!!!
Candi storms over to the ring, as the Steel Cage is starting to lower, and begins to reach under the ring and pull out chairs and toss them over the top rope.
Ray Hudson: Yeah, I’d say she is pretty pissed off. And rightfully so…
Candi steps into the ring and snatches the microphone from Byron Brown.
“Tattle Tail” Candi Bratton Motherfucker! Get your ass out here now so I can do to you what you did to my goddamned truck, you stupid giant turd!
Candi shoves the microphone into the chest of Byron Brown and awaits her opponent, as the Steel Cage now officially surrounds the ring.
Wavy Crockett: My favorite wrestler is ready to go!!
The lights dim, with blue flashes strobing to the guitar at the opening of the instrumental to “Hail to the King” by Avenged Sevenfold. After the the first deeper riff “The Master” Issac Combes steps out from behind the curtain to make his way to the ring.
Byron Brown: And her opponent… weighing in at 386 pounds….. from Oakland, California……. The Master!!!
The lights go back up as Combes enters and takes center ring, just as Candi runs at him with a sloppy football like tackle, as she places her hands around Combes’ neck and starts choking the life out of him.
Ray Hudson: Oh snap!
DING DING DING
Wavy Crockett: This is fantastic!!
Senior Referee Michael Mack officially calls for the bell, as Candi continues to choke Combes.
Ray Hudson: Candi Bratton is choking the life out of The Master!!
Wavy Crockett: The life!!
Combes slings Candi off of him, and starts getting up. Candi grabs a steel chair.
Ray Hudson: Bratton is grabbing a steel chair!
As Combes gets to his feet, Candi smashes the steel chair right into his skull, as he falls right back down.
Wavy Crockett: BOOM! I love it!
Candi starts slinging the steel chair into his ribs, viciously assaulting The Master.
Ray Hudson: Candi Bratton is destroying The Master!!
Wavy Crockett: Issac is getting the treatment he gave Corvo last week.
The fans are cheering very loudly, it’s almost unbelievable.
Ray Hudson: And the fans are loving it!
Candi takes a moment to look around the arena, with a disgusting look on her face. She screams “fuck you!” to the Denver crowd, before slamming the chair down at Combes again, though this time Combes rolls out of the way.
Ray Hudson: Master has a chance!
Candi walks after Combes, as he tries to get to his feet. She swings the chair again, and Combes rolls out of the way, as the Steel chair smashes against the ropes, and Candi loses her grip.
Ray Hudson: Candi has dropped the chair!
Combes runs at Candi with a big boot, and takes her down for the first time in the match. However, afterwards Combes drops to one knee, holding his side in pain.
Ray Hudson: Master temporarily getting a second to get it together. I’m sure his body is already hurting…
Candi starts to get to her feet, so Combes sucks it up and gets to his feet. Combes grabs Candi by the hair, and she throws an eye poke at him.
Wavy Crockett: Eye poke!! Haaaaa!!
As Combes puts his hand over his eyes, Candi kneels before him and gives him a nasty low blow.
Ray Hudson: I hope he has his cup on, this week…
Combes has dropped to his knees in pain. Candi gives him a DDT from this position.
Wavy Crockett: I don’t think he does, Ray…
Candi grabs another steel chair, as the fans cheer loudly. She shakes her head, and begins smashing the chair into Combes’ ribs again.
Ray Hudson: Candi is really putting a hurting on Issac Combes.
Candi starts laughing, as she seems to have thought of something. She unfolds the chair slightly, looking around the Magness Arena with a sick grin.
Ray Hudson: What in the world is she about to do??
Candi places the chair around Combes head.
Ray Hudson: Oh my goodness!!
Wavy Crockett: I love this woman!!
Ray Hudson: You can replace you truck, Candi. You can’t replace his life!!
Wavy Crockett: You are so over dramatic…
Candi flips Combes off and says a bunch of cuss words, before stomping down onto the chair, making it clamp harder around Combes’ head.
Ray Hudson: Oh sweet baby Jesus!!!!
Candi then starts repeatedly stomping down on the chair, as Combes starts twitching.
Wavy Crockett: Whoa nah!!
Candi reaches down and rips the chair from around Combes’ head, chunking it against the Steel Cage.
Wavy Crockett: Imagine Candi Bratton versus Forge…
Candi runs to the ropes, bouncing back with a Running Splash, yet surprisingly Combes rolls out of the way.
Ray Hudson: How the hell did he manage move?!!
Combes holds his neck, coughing.
Wavy Crockett: They say you have super human strength the last few seconds of your life…
Ray Hudson: Who said that….?
Wavy Crockett: My grandpa told me that, once.
Candi is already back to her feet, even after going face first into the ring mat.
Ray Hudson: Candi is getting up faster than The Master…
Candi goes to stomp on Combes, and he catches her foot, throwing her away, as she falls to her back.
Ray Hudson: Literally, where is Master finding this strength?!
Combes starts to get to his feet, and Candi is already back to her’s as she runs at him with a vicious knee to the face.
Wavy Crockett: But you can’t keep a good thing down!
Candi stops for a moment to catch her breath.
Ray Hudson: Candi Bratton has really been dominating this match thus far.
Candi grabs Combes and does the best she can trying to get the big man to his feet. We now can see that Combes’ nose is busted open, as blood trickles down his lips.
Wavy Crockett: See! Her and Forge would be a WAR!!!
Ray Hudson: The two were exchanging words on Twitter a couple of days ago.
Somehow The Master musters up the energy to deliver a spinebuster to Candi.
Ray Hudson: Spinebuster!! From The Master!
Combes rest on one knee, while Candi holds her back in pain on the mat.
Wavy Crockett: That Twitter be causing all kinds of problems. That’s why I had to delete mine.
Ray Hudson: Well, your problems were a little different, David. You were trying to cheat on your then girlfriend.
Wavy Crockett: So you just gon put me on to the world, nigga? That’s how you coming?
Combes and Candi both get to their feet at the same time. Combes thrusts his head at Candi for The Weight of the Crown, but Candi maneuvers her head, and knees Combes in the balls.
Wavy Crockett: Oooooo!!
Combes is on both knees, holding his junk in pain, as Candi hits The Master with his own finisher, taking the big man out with the Weight of the Crown.
Ray Hudson: Oh shit!! Candi Bratton just did The Master’s own finisher to him.
Candi screams to the Denver crowd that she is not done.
Wavy Crockett: She ain’t done wit em!
Candi grabs another steel chair and starts stabbing Combes with it, on different parts of his body.
Ray Hudson: She is an animal! Do not mess with Candi Bratton’s truck!
Wavy Crockett: And that’s rule #1…
The fans are all chanting “YES!”
Ray Hudson: Master might not make it to the Phoenix Tournament….
Candi throws the steel chair at the side of the cage and screams “Fuck!”, as she takes a moment to catch her breath again.
Wavy Crockett: Come on, Candi. You wearing yourself out. Finish him!!
Candi then starts grabbing steel chairs and making a pile of them in the middle of the ring.
Wavy Crockett: What is you doing, girl?
Combes starts crawling towards the corner of the ring.
Ray Hudson: She’s piling up chairs.
Candi looks at Combes, laughing, as he tries to pull himself up in the corner of the ring.
Ray Hudson: This is like a horror movie!
Candi watches as Combes pulls himself up slowly and rests in the corner, barely on his feet.
Wavy Crockett: Just leave the cage, Candi!
Candi runs at Combes with a Running Corner Splash, holding her body into the corner, so Combes doesn’t fall forward.
Ray Hudson: Running Corner Splash!!
After resting a moment, Candi uses all of her strength to attempt to get Combes to the top rope.
Ray Hudson: I’m sorry, but I don’t think that’s gonna work…
Combes’ feet barely come off the mat as he smashes his head into Candi’s, with the official Weight of the Crown.
Ray Hudson: Weight of the Crown!!!
Wavy Crockett: I told her she should’ve escaped the cage…
Combes looks down at Candi, still in pain, before he turns around and starts climbing the cage.
Wavy Crockett: All that, and this dude gon win?
Unbelievably, Candi is already getting back to her feet, as the fans start getting loud.
Ray Hudson: Not so fast!
Combes notices the fans’ reactions, so he looks down behind him, seeing Candi getting up. He starts to climb back down.
Wavy Crockett: Wrong way, boy!!
As he places his feet down on the top rope, he begins to turn around towards the ring, as Candi climbs up the corner.
Ray Hudson: I don’t think this going to turn out well…
Combes reaches down and grabs Candi by the hair, raising his fist to bring down into her face, but Candi reaches up, hooking Combes into the Trash Compactor, squeezing his jewels very tightly.
Ray Hudson: Trash Compactor!!! And this time there’s no protection!!!
Wavy Crockett: Haha. You so dumb, Ray!
As she let’s go, and Combes falls into her, she delivers a sloppy belly to belly suplex down onto the pile of steel chairs.
Ray Hudson: Oh my Godddd!!!!
Wavy Crockett: Fuck!!!!
The fans are chanting “Holy Shit!”
Ray Hudson: Candi Bratton just hit what I believe was a belly to belly suplex….on The Master, onto that pile of steel chairs!
Candi and Combes both look dead.
Wavy Crockett: Ain’t nobody gon win now!
Candi uses whatever energy she has left to place an arm over Combes.
Wavy Crockett: Nevermind. It’s over..
DING DING DING
Ray Hudson: Candi Bratton has won this one, folks!! Our Mile High Wrestling Champion!!
The ref has called for the bell, as both superstars just lay there in the middle of the ring, as the Steel Cage begins to rise.
Ray Hudson: What a beatdown!!
The cameras cut backstage for a moment, showing Skrabz was watching the match; his eyebrow raised.
Ray Hudson: And it looks like Skrabz kept his eyes on the match. Watching his opponent for The Rise In Phoenix!
The cameras cut back into the arena, as both superstars still lay on the mat.
Wavy Crockett: Well, Skrabal better be nervous! Cause he’s next!
All of a sudden, ALL five members of The Shieldmaidens slide into the ring, all around the two downed superstars.
Ray Hudson: What the hell is this?!
The fans are all on their feet, wondering what the hell is going on.
Wavy Crockett: Ah shit…
Ophelia and Bandit kick push Master all the way out of the ring, as Fianna Donnelly and Bullet start tossing the steel chairs out, clearing the scene.
Wavy Crockett: What the hell did Candi do now?
All five ladies stand over our Mile High Wrestling Champion’s body.
Ray Hudson: Well, this brings us back to Twitter getting people in trouble…
Candi opens her eyes, realizing they are standing above her, and she starts cussing at them before they start stomping away at her. All of them but RJ Mitchell, who watches on with pleasure.
Ray Hudson: Five on one!!! This is unnecessary!!
Ophelia and Bandit each grab an upper arm of Candi and get her to her feet. They hold a dazed Candi before RJ, who tells Candi to watch who she talks about.
Ray Hudson: I believe this spawns from the Twitter exchange…
Fianna hands RJ the Mile High Wrestling Championship belt.
Wavy Crockett: Man, they stole her belt!!! She ain’t even come out here with it!
RJ looks closely at the belt, admiring it for a moment, before Candi starts kicking at her, cussing again, while Ophelia and Bandit hold her as tight as possible.
Ray Hudson: They indeed must’ve found it backstage somewhere. Wherever Candi left it…
RJ jumps at Candi, smashing the gold belt into Candi’s skull, as Ophelia and Bandit let Candi fall to the mat, out cold.
Wavy Crockett: Damn….they just hit her with her own belt…
There is a mixture of boos and cheers, but it slightly seems like more boos, as each member of The Shieldmaidens looks around the arena, happy about what they have done.
Ray Hudson: They are proud of their actions..
RJ holds the belt into the air, as the boos and cheers get even louder.
Wavy Crockett: That’s Candi Bratton’s belt…
Ray Hudson: We gotta take a break…
We fade into another commercial break.
“Desert Rose” Anya
We are back from our commercials, as “Alarm” by Namie Amuro begins playing throughout the arena, and “ARACELI” appears on the titantron; with a black background and white cursive font. As the beat kicks in, Araceli walks out on to the stage.
Byron Brown: The following contest is for one fall! Introducing first… weighing in at 130 pounds….. from Denver, Colorado……. Araceli Martinez!!!
Araceli looks around at the crowd until the lyrics start. She then begins walking down the ramp.
Ray Hudson: Welcome back to the show, and it’s time for some more action!
Wavy Crockett: We may have had enough already…
Araceli stops at the bottom of the ramp when the beat stops. She walks toward the ring steps, as the music starts again. She climbs up the steps and into the ring, putting the “I love you” hand sign into the air.
Wavy Crockett: I love you, too..
Inside the ring, Araceli walks around until the music fades out.
Ray Hudson: Araceli came up short last week, but was pretty impressive, to say the least.
While the instrumental – the first 30 seconds of Within Temptation’s “See Who I Am” – starts up, the lights dim. The screen shows a silhouette with most of the features covered by a veil. Above the shadow, the name “Desert Rose” Anya is displayed in a bright, blood-red hue.
Wavy Crockett: Everytime I hear that song “Walk Like An Egyptian”, I think of Anya.
Ray Hudson: You actually listen to that?
Seconds after the actual lyrics start up, a spotlight shines down at the top of the ramp, where Anya is quietly standing, wearing her attire for the ring.
Byron Brown: And her opponent… weighing in at 155 pounds….. from Las Vegas, Nevada……. “Desert Rose” Anya!!!
Anya turns, grinning at the audience, and walks down the ramp with a slow but confident, optimisic walk. She waves to the fans along the way, even high-fiving a few, before arriving at the ring.
Ray Hudson: Anya has a three and one record here in Mile High Wrestling.
The Desert Rose ascends up the small set of steps … and then enters by jumping, using the closest turnbuckle to ensure she jumps successfully over it. She lands on her feet, turns, and climbs in front of t he same turnbuckle she just jumped.
Wavy Crockett: I know she’s glad she’s not facing Emily Falls this week. She’s only told us a hundred times…
Raising a clenched fist, Anya listens to the audience’s reaction for a good five to ten seconds before getting off the ropes and leaning against them, waiting eagerly for the match to begin.
Ray Hudson: Poor Emily Falls….
Referee Regina Ball checks both ladies and calls for the match bell to officially start this match.
DING DING DING
Ray Hudson: And here we go!
Both ladies circle each other and smack hands before they both move in for a collar and elbow tie-up.
Ray Hudson: Both ladies locking up.
Araceli is forced down to one knee until she releases and takes a wrist lock. Moving behind Anya, Martinez transitions into a hammerlock. Anya arches and reaches back for a snapmare takedown and as she does, Araceli flattens her with a hair pull takedown.
Wavy Crockett: They fighting dirty!
The ref issues a quick warning as Araceli stomps Anya in the gut. Martinez takes a handful of hair and pulls Anya back into a standing position, where from out of nowhere she hits the Obsidian!
Ray Hudson: Obsidian!!
Araceli goes for the pin.
Ray Hudson: That was quick!!
Wavy Crockett: Kickout!
Both ladies move to their feet, and as they do, Anya connects with a big boot to the gut which she quickly follows up with a superkick!
Ray Hudson: Superkick!
As Martinez falls flat on her back, Anya quickly springs up on to the top rope.
Wavy Crockett: She going to the top..
With no hesitation, Anya leaps for a moonsault.
Ray Hudson: Moonsault! No wait…
Araceli rolls out of harm’s way, but as she does, Anya corrects it and lands on her feet. BUT with Araceli prone, Anya backflips again to land the double moonsault!
Wavy Crockett: Oh damn, she still connected…
With the crowd on their feet, Anya hooks a leg.
Ray Hudson: Going for the pin!
Ray Hudson: Not enough!
With a wristlock applied, Anya pulls Araceli up to her feet and sends her for the ride with an Irish whip.
Ray Hudson: Anya in control.
As Araceli hits the ring ropes, Anya hits the top turnbuckle spinning to crash down hard on Martinez with a diving bulldog!
Ray Hudson: Bulldog!!
As the referee slides into position to make the count, Anya returns the hairpull and snatches Araceli back up to her feet.
Ray Hudson: Anya paying Araceli back for earlier…
Anya ducks behind Martinez and quickly lifts her into a seated position on her shoulders.
Wavy Crockett: We know what this means…
With the crowd on their feet, Anya drives her down hard onto the mat with a sickening thud, delivering the Desert Mirage!
Ray Hudson: Desert Mirage!!!
Anya goes for the pin.
Wavy Crockett: Kickout!
Anya nips up, ready for Martinez, who is slowly moving to her feet.
Ray Hudson: Anya wants to end this!
Anya takes a wristlock, and as she moves behind Araceli, she turns, placing them back to back. Slipping her arms under Araceli’s and her body, Anya lifts her off her feet and drives her down hard on the back of her head, feeding her Ammit’s Meal!!
Ray Hudson: Ammit’s Meal!!!
Instead of going for the pin, Anya springs lithely onto the top rope. She pauses to take it all in before leaping.
Wavy Crockett: She should’ve just pinned her!
Anya nails Araceli with a picture perfect Weighing of the Heart!
Ray Hudson: Weighing of the Heart!!!
As the referee slides into position, Anya hooks the leg.
DING DING DING
Anya rolls off of Araceli with a smile on her face.
Byron Brown: And the winner of this match… “Desert Rose” Anya!!!
Anya gets to her feet and raises her arms in the air, celebrating another victory.
Wavy Crockett: So now Anya is four and one…
Ray Hudson: Correct!
The cameras go backstage where they are focused on a door that says “Robert Mack’s Office”.
Ray Hudson: What’s this about?
A hand is shown knocking at the door, as the camera pulls back to reveal Samantha “The Titaness” Hamilton.
Wavy Crockett: Let me find out she still hooking up with the boss…
A lot of female laughter is heard from inside, as the door swings open and Katrina Mack is shown smiling, like she is having an amazing night.
Ray Hudson: Well, that’s not Rob…
Katrina Mack: Hey Sam! What’s going on, girl?
Katrina slowly goes from an excited smile, to a more concerned look, as she realizes Sam looks pretty serious.
Samantha “Titaness” Hamilton: I need to talk to you.
Sam looks past Katrina, where Lavinia is sitting on a sofa.
Samantha “Titaness” Hamilton: Privately…
Katrina looks back at Lavinia, concerned, before looking back at Sam.
Katrina Mack: Is everything okay?
Samantha “Titaness” Hamilton: I just think it’s time I get something off my chest. I need to make sure you know…
Katrina nods, before looking back at Lavinia.
Katrina Mack: Hey friend, I’ll be right back.
Katrina looks back at Sam before closing the door, as she steps into the hallway.
Katrina Mack: Let’s go somewhere more private…
Sam nods as the two walk away, and we fade to a commercial break.
We return from commercial break, as the camera pans around the Magness Arena focusing on the excited fans. “Rise” by David Guetta featuring Skylar Grey plays in the background, as a promotional picture for the song and album is now shown.
Ray Hudson: Welcome back, world! And you are currently listening to “Rise” by David Guetta and Skylar Grey; the official theme song for The Rise In Phoenix.
Wavy Crockett: Wasn’t this the theme song for WrestleMania 31?
A “fire engulfing” motion graphic is shown, before The Rise In Phoenix logo shows on the screen.
Ray Hudson: And The Rise In Phoenix will be live on Pay-Per View on July 11th, in Phoenix, Arizona! Sponsored by Discord.
The phoenix in the logo catches fire, engulfing into a big ball of fire that evaporates into smoke. An image of “Tattle Tail” Candi Bratton is shown on the screen.
Ray Hudson: And the main event of that night will see “Tattle Tail” Candi Bratton defending her Mile High Wrestling Championship to Skrabz!
An image of Skrabz is shown on the screen.
Wavy Crockett: And after what we saw Candi do to The Master earlier, I fear for Skrabz…
The official Bratton vs Skrabz match image is shown, for The Rise In Phoenix.
Ray Hudson: It’s definitely going to be an interesting match, to say the least.
The official Mile High Wrestling Phoenix Championship belt is shown with four blocks above it, containing individual images of “Desert Rose” Anya, “The Master” Issac Combes, Ripley, and a question mark. And then four blocks below the belt, containing individual images of “The Adorkable Angel” Azurine Vebbins, “The Party Boy” Chris Mosh, “Next Generation” Luke Corvo, and another question mark.
Ray Hudson: We will also crown our very first Mile High Wrestling Phoenix Champion. And two of these eight superstars will fight in a Ladder Match at The Rise, to crown that champion.
An image of all five members of The Shieldmaidens is shown, with the official Mile High Wrestling Tag Team Championship belts to the right of them.
Ray Hudson: And we will ALSO crown our very first Mile High Wrestling Tag Team Champions. We know The Shieldmaidens will be involved, but who else?
An image of Forge and RJ Mitchell is shown, with the Stanton Enterprises logo to the right of them.
Ray Hudson: Earlier tonight, Forge made the challenge. Will “Pretty” Ricky Stanton and HIS wrestler accept the challenge?
The Rise In Phoenix logo is shown once more.
Wavy Crockett: It’s going to be pretty dope night, for sure…
Ray Hudson: You got challenged too, Wavy? You ain’t gon chicken out huh?
Wavy Crockett: Eh..
The cameras focus on the commentators.
Ray Hudson: Well ladies and gentlemen, our very own Ripley couldn’t make it tonight due to his busy schedule with his TV show. But as we announced, he will be in the Phoenix Tournament, and he will be here next week to compete in his Round One Match. Nonetheless, we have a clip from the latest episode of Silver Lake, starring Ripley himself. Check it out…
Hendricks: Well, Hawkeye, see anything?
He then slowly walks towards one of the more intact cabins while staring intently at the ground. As Malcom gets closer to the cabin he takes off his red bag and carefully puts it on the ground. The whole time Hendricks follows behind with a look of doubt on his face. Malcom walks up the small steps leading to the porch of the cabin and studies parts of the wooden railing. He notices a few long slashes on some parts and makes a grunting noise. Malcom then turns his attention to the cabin door and tries to open it. It takes a few shoves from him but it finally flings open with his last attempt. Inside the cabin it’s dusty and cobwebs are practically everywhere.
Hendricks: Good job Malcom, you opened an abandoned cabin.
Malcom points over to a corner of the room where there is a table on its side and a few chairs scattered around. Malcom walks over to the area and crouches down. In front of him there’s trash littered around. Serval trail mix bags and what appears to be the recent ash from a small fire.
Malcom: I think we just got one step closer, Hendricks.
Hendricks: All right, so we know that they probably ended up here recently but now what?
Malcom: I don’t think they both were here.
Hendricks: Again with this thinking they split up? Why the hell would they do that?
Malcom: Like I said at the campsite, I don’t think they did it on purpose. It’s clear something scared them and they wanted to get out as quickly as possible. My guess is they went for their truck but something stopped them from doing that. Maybe they saw whatever scared them over there so they took off into the woods thinking they could escape that way. Then later as they got closer to here something happened and they got split up. Maybe one of them tripped and the other didn’t realize it or since it was dark their paths simply split while they thought they were still right beside each other. All I know is that everything I see tells me only one of them were here.
Just as Malcom finishes talking the young park ranger he was talking to earlier walks in seeming to be out of breath. Malcom and Hendricks look at him slightly confused.
PR: Guys, I think you’re going to want to see this.
The three of them walks out of the cabin and walk over to one of the cabins that looks like it’s about to collapse on itself. Outside the cabin the members from this part of the search party are all standing around looking confused and a little horrified. Malcom and Hendricks step past them making their way to the door of the cabin. As they get closer Malcom and Hendricks notice that the walls and door are covered in long deep slashes. Once they enter the inside is littered with bones of various animals. Small bones from squirrels or raccoons all the way up to bones of deer are randomly scattered around with some in piles.
Hendricks: What the hell? It almost looks like…a nesting area. But…
Malcom: All right, we need to get out of here and check out that spring area.
Hendricks: What would do this?
Malcom: Hendricks! We need to go.
The cameras return to the commentary table, where Ray Hudson is sitting alone, confused.
Ray Hudson: Wavy Crockett just got up from his seat during the airing of that clip. I honestly do not know what’s going on…
Wavy Crockett is in the ring, with a mic, pacing.
Ray Hudson: It seems as if he has something on his mind…
Wavy Crockett looks into the camera, putting the mic to his mouth.
Wavy Crockett: Ay Party Boy! I know you at home watching. Probably drunk, laying up with a fat chick.
Wavy looks around the arena, then back at the camera.
Wavy Crockett: Yeah, I’m aware you’re married. I was talking about you wife….
Wavy let’s the crowd react, before continuing.
Wavy Crockett: Aren’t you just Billy Bad Ass, for challenging a poor ol’ defenseless commentator to a match at the very first Pay-Per View event on July 11?
Wavy smirks, still focused on the camera.
Wavy Crockett: Well, Christopher…I might not be a wrestler…..but I can fight. And at The Rise…….I’m gonna slap the fuck outchu!
Wavy snarls into the camera.
Wavy Crockett: July 11th……the party’s over, boy!
Wavy drops the mic and stares deep into the camera as we fade into a commercial break.
We return from our commercial break where Robert Mack and Deuce Holmes are shown walking down the Magness Arena hallways, laughing.
Robert Mack: You are too much!
They stop walking, as the camera reveals Robert’s office door. Robert’s laughter slowly turns into a more serious look.
Robert Mack: Look…before you and Lavinia leave, I wanted to talk to you about something…
Deuce raises his eyebrow, curious as to what Robert is wanting to talk about.
Robert Mack: The wife gave me an idea. Lavinia gave her the idea. I think….it might be an interesting idea.
Robert opens his office door, as Deuce walks inside. Robert closes the door behind them, as the cameras return to the arena.
***THE MAIN EVENT***
Samantha “The Titaness” Hamilton
Ray Hudson: Welcome back! And it’s time for our main event!
As the actual lyrics of “You’re Going Down” by Sick Puppies begins playing, Samantha “The Titaness” Hamilton saunters down the ramp. A sense of determination and resolve can always be found in her eyes. Despite wearing a more stern and serious expression, she’s not one to ignore any fans or supporters. Every now and again, she gives a wave or slight smirk. However, The Titaness mostly stick s to her more serious and stoic look.
Byron Brown: The following contest is the main event of the evening, and is for one fall! Introducing first… weighing in at 145 pounds….. from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida……. Samantha “The Titaness” Hamilton!!!
When Sam finally gets in front of the ropes, she slips through the middle and top ropes, as she waits for her opponent in the ring.
Ray Hudson: You feeling better, Wavy?
Wavy Crockett: I’m feeling great!
Tempa T’s “Next Hype” starts to play. The beat builds for ten seconds and then Skrabal Stanzas can be heard saying “Are you dizzy blud?”. The beat explodes and Tempa T immediately comes in with his lyrics.
“What kind of things that you have
When I find out don’t expect me to stop
I’ll come for the P’s that you stack
And come for all the food that you plot
Better hand over the bag
Your boys don’t wanna see you shot
If I kick down the door to your flat
Dun Know I’ll clear out your house on the spot”
Skrabal Stanzas comes walking out from the back and poses with his arms stretched out.
“CLEAR! All the things in your house
CLEAR! All the things in your fridge
SMASH! All your plates from your rack
CLEAR! All of your kids’ toys
CLEAR! All of your CD rack
Won’t get none of your CD’s back”
Byron Brown: And her opponent… weighing in at 195 pounds….. from Margate, England……. he is the #1 Contender for the Mile High Wrestling Championship… Skrabz!!!
Skrabz walks to the ring, his slow but deliberate swagger in direct contrast with the hype beat and aggressive lyrics.
“I have to punch up guys
Guys try it with me, I don’t know why
Bax! Pax man straight in his eyes
They floored me, I was looking at the sky
Par! Now I have to go blind
That boy there I swear he gonna die
You’re not bad you’re a mug don’t think you’re a guy
When I slap man you won’t be alright”
Ray Hudson: The #1 Contender for the Mile High Wrestling Championship…
Wavy Crockett: And he doesn’t deserve it…
Skrabz walks up the steps and climbs into the ring. He stands in the corner of the ring and leans back against the turnbuckle with his arms folded across his chest, as the music fades out.
DING DING DING
Ray Hudson: Here we go! The main event of the evening!
Senior referee Michael Mack has called for the bell, and Sam and Skrabz get face to face. They both look serious until Skrabz softly puckers his lips, and takes a step back, smirking.
Ray Hudson: Skrabz playing mind games…
Sam rolls her eyes, takes a step forward and shoves Skrabz onto his bottom.
Wavy Crockett: Oh damn!
Ray Hudson: The Titaness just put Skrabz on his ass!
Skrabz looks up at Sam from sitting position, with his jaw slightly dropped.
Ray Hudson: Samantha claims she’s been pretty aggravated by Skrabz’ claims that her and the boss have a conspiracy brewing…
Skrabz gets serious, nodding his head, as he gets to his feet, only to be taken right back down by a running spear from Sam, out of nowhere.
Ray Hudson: Spear!
Wavy Crockett: I don’t think Skrabz, nor Sammie, deserve that title match at The Rise. Forge should be #1 Contender!
The fans are on their feet cheering, as Sam stands tall above Skrabz, looking down at him with intensity in her eyes.
Ray Hudson: Well, technically Skrabz already beat Forge, so I don’t know, Wavy…
Skrabz holds his ribs, looking up at Sam with disgust.
Ray Hudson: Regardless, The Titaness has been in control of this match, thus far.
Sam walks away to the corner of the ring and yells, “Come on, boy!”
Wavy Crockett: Never call a man a “boy”…
Skrabz bites his bottom lip in frustration as he gets back to his feet. He starts nodding his head as he gets into grappling position.
Ray Hudson: Skrabz tryna get back into the game.
Sam rolls her eyes again, but also gets into grappling position.
Wavy Crockett: I’ll admit though, this is a pretty big match…
The two superstars lock up, and Sam starts forcing Skrabz to step backwards.
Ray Hudson: The Titaness really holding this match tightly.
Skrabz quickly hooks Sam into a headlock, and takes her down with the headlock takedown.
Ray Hudson: And just like that, Skrabz is in the game!
Skrabz gets to his feet and drops an elbow on Sam’s chest before she can get back up.
Wavy Crockett: So what conspiracies Skrabz been talking about? He think Rob in the Illuminati?
Skrabz gets to his feet again and looks down at Sam with intensity in his eyes.
Ray Hudson: He claims that the only reason Rob gave him this title match was to cover up his plans to give Sam the championship. Or something like that…
Sam does a kip up and Skrabz dropkicks her in the back of the head, knocking her back down.
Ray Hudson: Skrabz staying on top of The Titaness, now!
Wavy Crockett: I mean, I’ve known Rob for years. Let’s be real, Ray…
Ray Hudson: Real about what?
Wavy Crockett: If him and that woman had something going on, they prolly still got something going on.
Skrabz walks away, feeling confident. When he turns back to Sam, as she is slowly getting back up, he yells, “Man up!”
Ray Hudson: Skrabz is now taunting Samantha.
The Titaness stares a hole through Skrabz as she gets to her feet.
Ray Hudson: I don’t know, Wavy. It’s really none of my business.
Both superstars get face to face again and start talking trash to each other.
Wavy Crockett: I’m just saying, Ray.
Sam shoves Skrabz, and Skrabz shoves her back.
Ray Hudson: Well, let’s say something about this match here…
Sam throws a right, and Skrabz returns with a right of his own. Both superstars start exchanging rights, back and forth.
Ray Hudson: We got a back and forth here!
Sam starts getting the advantage, as Skrabz starts taking steps back with each right Sam connects with.
Ray Hudson: The Titaness throwing them rights!!
Sam Irish whips Skrabz to the ropes. Skrabz bounces back into a spinebuster from Sam.
Ray Hudson: Spinebuster!!!
Sam goes for the pin.
Ray Hudson: And Skrabz kicks out before the count of three!
Sam gets to her knees and grabs Skrabz by the neck. She gets to her feet, holding his neck and bringing him to his feet with her.
Ray Hudson: So if she wins this match, do you think she should be added to the title match?
Sam delivers a chokeslam to Skrabz.
Ray Hudson: Chokeslam from Ms. Hamilton!
Wavy Crockett: No. I don’t think so, at all. She had her chance…
Sam puts her hand to her mouth and mocks the match with a yawn.
Ray Hudson: The Titaness seems to be bored with her opponent.
Skrabz slowly gets to his feet, and Sam places his head between her legs before delivering a powerbomb.
Ray Hudson: Powerbomb!!
Sam goes to the corner of the ring, before climbing to the top rope.
Ray Hudson: She’s going to the top rope, folks!
The fans are on their feet, as they wait to see The Titaness fly.
Wavy Crockett: This gon be her downfall…
Sam jumps off the top rope with a flying headbutt to Skrabz.
Ray Hudson: Flying headbutt!!!
Sam lays down for a moment, holding her own head.
Wavy Crockett: She hurt herself. What a doofus…
Sam goes for the pin.
Ray Hudson: Skrabz kicks out!
Sam looks down at Skrabz, with frustration.
Wavy Crockett: She be getting mad too easy.
Sam gets to her feet, and gets Skrabz to his.
Ray Hudson: That’s heart. Desire. Fire. She’s the real deal, Wavy…
Wavy Crockett: That’s the dumbest shit you ever said…
Out of nowhere, Skrabz throws an eye poke.
Ray Hudson: Skrabz just poked The Titaness in the eye!
Sam holds her eye, taking steps back. She walks forward right into a standing dropkick that takes her down.
Ray Hudson: Dropkick from Skrabz!
Skrabz stands by her head and drops a leg across Sam’s chest.
Ray Hudson: Standing leg drop!
Skrabz yells for Sam to get up, as he starts talking trash.
Wavy Crockett: Skrabz is ready to end this shit.
Sam starts getting to her feet and Skrabz gets close to her, ready to put her back down.
Ray Hudson: I think both superstars are, Wavy.
Sam runs right into a Mic Check, but while Skrabz is in mid air, Sam throws him away from her.
Ray Hudson: Skrabz almost connecting the Mic Check!! But Sam avoids it!
Skrabz gets back to his feet, and Sam runs at him with a vicious spear.
Ray Hudson: Spear!! A second spear!!!
The fans start chanting “YES!”
Wavy Crockett: This woman here…
Sam stands in the center of the ring slowly looking around the Magness Arena, taking the atmosphere in.
Ray Hudson: The Titaness feeling the end coming..
Skrabz gets to his feet, and Sam runs at Skrabz, lifting him up on her shoulders and running him to the corner, slamming him into the turnbuckles.
Wavy Crockett: Sammie is manhandling Skrabz.
Sam starts thrusting her shoulder into Skrabz a few times.
Ray Hudson: She’s doing her best to stay in control.
Skrabz grabs Sam and throws her into the corner, reversing spots.
Wavy Crockett: And roles have been reversed!
Skrabz dishes out a corner body punch combo, laying into The Titaness.
Ray Hudson: Skrabz beating up on The Titaness!!
Skrabz runs to the other corner opposite from Sam, before running back with a body splash.
Ray Hudson: Body splash!
Sam falls to her knees, dazed.
Wavy Crockett: She’s off her feet, Ray…
Skrabz runs to the ropes, bounces off, and comes back with a kick to Sam’s head, knocking her down all the way.
Ray Hudson: Skrabz has The Titaness down!!!
All of a sudden, the fans start buzzing. Skrabz takes notice, looking around.
Wavy Crockett: Damn, what’s going on now, Ray?
The cameras show Robert Mack walking down the ramp.
Ray Hudson: Oh no…
Skrabz is looking mad as he looks back at Sam, who is trying to get up.
Ray Hudson: Is Skrabz’ theories true?!
Skrabz looks back at Robert, then turns around to grab Sam, who gives him a spinebuster out of nowhere.
Wavy Crockett: Skrabz gotta keep his eyes on this match…
Sam is on one knee, and notices Robert at ringside. She raises her eyebrow.
Wavy Crockett: Look at her pretending like she doesn’t know what’s going on.
Ray Hudson: I don’t think she does..
As Skrabz gets to his feet, Sam gives him a bulldog, bringing him right back down.
Wavy Crockett: She knows exactly what’s going on. We bout to have a Denver Screwjob!
Sam looks at Robert again, who just has a serious look on his face.
Ray Hudson: I don’t know, Wavy…
Sam goes to the corner of the ring, climbing to the top rope.
Ray Hudson: She’s going high risk again…
Skrabz slowly gets to his feet again, and Sam jumps at him with a flying crossbody.
Wavy Crockett: And she connects again, taking the #1 Contender down.
Sam looks at Robert again, asking him what the hell he is doing out here.
Ray Hudson: She is just as confused.
Robert actually says, “You know exactly what I’m doing out here!”
Wavy Crockett: I told you! I told you!!
Sam shakes her head and turns back to Skrabz who is once again getting to his feet.
Ray Hudson: He can be talking about anything…
Sam jumps up connecting Defying The Gods on Skrabz.
Ray Hudson: Defying The Gods!!!
Sam runs her thumb across her neck, looking Robert directly in the eyes.
Wavy Crockett: It’s over, Ray.
Sam gets Skrabz up, placing his head between her legs for one of her two finishers.
Ray Hudson: Man…
Sam hooks Skrabz’ arms up for the Wrath of the Titans.
Wavy Crockett: You seeing it now huh?
Skrabz unhooks and raises his head up, flipping Sam over him.
Ray Hudson: Well, hold up!!
Sam quickly gets back to her feet, only to be taken down with the Mic Check!!
Ray Hudson: Mic Check!!!
Skrabz goes for the pin.
Ray Hudson: Skrabz has picked up the victory!!!
The ref calls for the bell.
DING DING DING
Wavy Crockett: I don’t think Rob is happy about this…
Robert is now standing on the ring apron, staring at Skrabz.
Byron Brown: And the winner of this match… Skrabz!!!
Skrabz notices Robert’s new location. Robert shakes his head at Skrabz, before hopping back down to the floor.
Ray Hudson: I’m so confused right now…
Skrabz mean mugs Robert before turning to the referee, who raises Skrabz’ arm in the air.
Wavy Crockett: I was pretty sure The Titaness had this one..
Skrabz rolls out of the ring, looking back at Robert, who is now on the stage area.
Wavy Crockett: What if the conspiracy is a secret alliance between Rob and Skrabz?
Skrabz looks back into the ring, and raises his arms in the air.
Ray Hudson: I don’t know, but things seem real weird right now…
Sam slowly gets to her feet, and the fans are suddenly all riled up as they see “The Prankster” Lara Bratton sprinting out of the crowd. Lara quickly scales the turnbuckle and waits until Sam is in position.
Ray Hudson: What the fuck is going on now?!!
Lara leaps forward and drives a knee into the side of the Titaness’ head, right against her temple, dropping the woman to the mat. Lara walks over to the ropes and grins, grabbing a mic, handed to her by Byron Brown.
Wavy Crockett: I thought my baby was gone forever.
“The Prankster” Lara Bratton: There’s your little bitty crybaby.
Lara points over to the fallen Hamilton, who is slowly starting to get up.
Ray Hudson: Obviously not. She’s still around.
Lara climbs the turnbuckle again, as Sam gets up. Lara leaps off again and hits Sam with another knee to the head, driving Hamilton to the mat.
Wavy Crockett: She bout to give Sammie brain damage!
Lara prances around the ring, raising her hands in the air. She turns to lean over, grabbing the mic again.
“The Prankster” Lara Bratton: You ain’t no Titaness. You’re soft, Hamilton. You’re damn soft..
Sam starts to push herself up again and Lara frowns as she glances outside where she dropped her cane.
Ray Hudson: Skrabz has left these women to their own business.
Lara slides out and retrieves her cane. She slips back into the ring as Sam is getting to her feet.
Ray Hudson: Let’s get some help out here! Let’s break this up!
From behind, Lara charges at her and nails her with that cane, swinging it like a baseball bat and cracking Hamilton in the back of the head, dropping her one more time.
Ray Hudson: My goodness…
Wavy Crockett: Seriously Candi….. can I take your daughter on a date?
Lara moves to straddle Hamilton, who is face down on the mat. She slowly lowers herself so she’s sitting on the back of The Titaness.
Ray Hudson: I wouldn’t want nothing to do with this lunatic!
Lara takes that cane, grabs it with both hands and places it over Hamilton’s head and onto her throat, as she pulls back almost like a Camel Clutch, but using the cane to pull Sam’s head back, choking her.
Ray Hudson: Oh come on! Stop this!!!
Finally several referees charge the ring and try to pull Lara Bratton off of Sam, but she isn’t letting go and Hamilton’s face is turning red as she gasps and chokes while Bratton refuses to release the hold.
Ray Hudson: This is truly sickening!
Finally the referees are able to coax Lara into releasing her hold as Sam’s head falls to the canvas as she chokes and cough, trying to get air into her lungs.
Ray Hudson: She could’ve killed her!
Lara walks over to the microphone, grabs it, and walks back to the damaged Titaness with a grin.
“The Prankster” Lara Bratton: Sammy Hammy, the jokes on you, sugar.
Lara gives her one more shot to the head with that cane before she exits the ring and saunters towards the back, as the referees attend to Hamilton.
Ray Hudson: Such an unnecessary attack! I just don’t get it!
Wavy Crockett: You don’t get anything, Ray…
Ray Hudson: That’s all we got this week, folks. We’ll be back next Wednesday. Goodnight!
